IFCA Structure
IFCA is led by His Grace, the Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town, as the Patron of the organisation.
A board, made up of senior leaders from mining and faith, sets strategic direction, and provides governance.
The board is advised by a Steering Committee, comprising representatives from faith, mining companies, trade unions, and other closely involved parties.
A secretariat is responsible for implementation, day to day operations, and administration of the Institute and projects.
Our roles
As a convenor of senior leaders from the mining sector, multiple faiths, trade unions, government, and civil society, we provide a safe space for strategic dialogue and courageous conversations at national level.
At regional levels, working with partners, we enable socially impactful initiatives to improve the lives of mining communities.
As needed, we mediate in difficult situations which require a neutral space for engagement and dialogue, allowing parties to find each other in trust.
